Pet of the Week: Abbey

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Animal Shelter Society Inc. is introducing a very sweet and gentle Pet of the Week.
Abbey is a two-year-old Labrador mix who is ready for her fur-ever home. She recently graduated as a cell dog, where she learned basic commands and socialization throughout the process.
“They will not be disappointed. She is a sweetheart and I mean that literally, she is a sweetheart,” Russ Denny the Assistant Director at the Animal Shelter Society said. “Just her personality. She is so calm. She’s a great dog.”
Denny said Abbey would do best in a quiet home. Abbey has been spayed and she does well with other dogs and children.
“She’s a little bit skittish. She likes a quiet home. She’s adapted to me really quick, this morning, it’s the first time I’ve handled her. Within five minutes I had her where she needed to go,” Denny said.
You can go to the Animal Shelter Society to meet Abbey and take her for a walk. If interested in adopting her there is an application that needs to be filled out and her adoption fee is $200.
