Final Ruling on Pine Street Shooting

Murder Suicide On Pine St

Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury said what was investigated as a possible murder-suicide has now been ruled a suicide and accidental homicide.

Chief Coury said upon further investigation and reports it was determined that 41-year-old Wesley Sanders shot himself and the bullet traveled through him striking 27-year-old Brittany Dobbs in the heart killing her.

The shooting took place November 10 at a home on Pine Street.
