Thousands of people are now following the Ohio Department of Transportation on Twitter.
It set up an account last year for drivers in six major cities, including Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Akron, Toledo, and Dayton. It allows drivers to see road closures, accidents, and detours in 140 written characters or less.
