Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest in a theft at a Newark business.

The Newark Police Department reports between January 5th to 7th, the suspect(s) entered the parking lot at Central Ohio Landscape on Sandalwood Drive and stole a Ferris zero turn mower (valued at $10,000), an enclosed utility trailer (valued at $3,000) and other tools.

Authorities in Licking County search for any information regarding a November home burglary.

Newark Police said that on November 22 a suspect or suspects broke into a home in the 700 block of Mt. Vernon Road and stole electronics and jewelry from the home.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Licking County Crime Stoppers at (740) 349-6888. Up to $1,000 is being offered for anyone providing information that leads to an arrest.

Authorities in Licking County are looking for a most wanted suspect they say should be considered armed and dangerous.

Licking County Common Pleas Court issued an arrest warrant for 47-year-old Ronald McElfresh for a pre-trial violation.
 

He is facing charges of aggravated possession of drugs, possession of marijuana, having weapons while under disability and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An award is being offered to anyone with information into a robbery at a Newark bar.

The incident took place around closing time at the Blue Raccoon Bar on West Church Street on May 18th.

Newark Police reported that three unknown men robbed the establishment at gunpoint.

The bar's owner and two patrons were inside at the time.

The suspects got away with cash from the bar and patrons as well as some personal items.

Newark Police say on Sunday around 7:20 p.m., a white male walked into the Circle "k" convenient store on West Church Street and robbed the clerk of an undisclosed amount of money.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on a business break-in.

Between July 30th and August 1st, the Newark Police Department says someone broke into Dor Mar Heating and Cooling at 228 East Main Street.

Police say the thieves stole 20 air conditioning units. The suspect's vehicle is described as a 1984 Ford van.

Authorities are asking for the public's help once again in solving a homicide that happened 22 years ago in Newark.

Newark Police say on April 21, 1989 an Ohio Department of Transportation worker found the body of 71-year-old Helen Stuart in the back seat of an abandoned car on State Route 16 near Hanover Township.

Police say Stuart had been strangled during an assault that happened at her home on Russell Avenue.
