Shaquille Davis appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas court on Monday for sentencing in the murder of his cousin Phillip Kimbro Jr.

Davis is the last of six people sentenced in the case. Before accepting a plea deal last month given by the prosecution, Davis attempted to represent himself in the one day trial. Three co-defendants learned their fate in court Monday in connection to the murder of a Zanesville man.

22-year-old Samantha Drabik and 40-year-old Billie Harris appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for sentencing on an obstructing justice charge in the death of Phillip Kimbro, Jr.

A jury has been seated in the trial of a Zanesville man charged with murder and burning the corpse.

There are ten females and two males on the jury in the case of 20-year-old Shaquille Davis charged in the death of his first cousin Phillip Kimbro Junior last year. Kimbro's body was found on fire by a tree trimming crew on county road 15 in Morgan county. Timothy Daniel has spent the last three months in county jail and now he'll spend the rest of his life in prison.

The family of a local woman who was abducted and murdered earlier this week is keeping her memory alive.

A Cambridge man will spend more than four decades in prison for the murder of a 21-year-old.

Wednesday in Guernsey County Common Pleas Court, 45-year-old Michael Smith was sentenced to 41-years-to-life in prison. Smith was found guilty earlier this month of murder, attempted murder, felonious assault, grand theft and having weapons under disability.

Authorities say in March of 2011, Smith shot and killed Kyle Carter near the intersection of North 9th Street and Stewart Avenue....

A Zanesville woman is sentenced to 18 months in prison on an obstruction of justice charge stemming from the murder of a local man.

22-year-old Jasmine Lakich appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday where she was sentenced on that charge and a possession of drug paraphernalia charge.
 

The obstruction of justice charge was in connection to the search for Joey Hampton.
 

Hampton is accused in the murder o Donte Wolford last September...
