A 38-year-old man pleads guilty to his involvement in a May 21st robbery at the Valero Gas Station on West Main Street in Zanesville.

Kevin Chandler was in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court this morning and pled guilty to one count of robbery, one count of theft, and one count of possession of criminal tools. Judge Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation and continued Chandler's bond at $75,000.

A local organization wants your help in solving a Newark robbery, and it's offering up to a $1,000 reward for anyone with information on this crime.

The police department reports that two suspects stole a woman's purse on Everett Avenue around five a.m. on June 23rd and then fled in a vehicle.

Two robberies occurred early this morning in Zanesville, one at the Econo Lodge bar on North Seventh Street, and the other at the Duke and Duchess on Blue Avenue.

The Town House Pub, attached to the Econo Lodge was robbed around 2:30 in the morning.

The Zanesville Police Department is investigating a robbery that happened over night.


Police tell WHIZ News the Econo Lodge on North Seventh Street was robbed around 2:30 Wednesday morning.

One of the employees reported they were closing out the bar and didn't think anyone was there when a man came out of no where, wearing a mask, and took the money they were counting on the bar and ran.

Police are still investigating.

Zanesville Police investigate the early morning robbery of the Duke BP Gas Station at Maple Avenue and Brandywine Boulevard.

Authorities said that around 3 Wednesday morning a white male, wearing a black shirt and jeans came into the station, indicated he had a weapon and robbed the store.

He then fled in a light colored vehicle. Police say no one was hurt and officers are still investigating.

Licking County Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on an armed robbery at a Newark restaurant.

Newark Police report that on May 23 around 9:50 a.m. a male suspect robbed the Subway on North 21st Street.

Police say the suspect brandished a large revolver type handgun and demanded money from the two female clerks.

The Heath Police Department is investigating an afternoon robbery at a PNC Bank Branch on Hebron Road.

Police Chief Tony Shepherd says his department received an alert of an activated hold-up alarm around 12:15 p.m.

A suspect is under arrest for a Friday afternoon robbery in Zanesville.

According to Zanesville Police Det. Sgt. Ric Roush, around 12:45 p.m. officers were called to a robbery at the Valero gas station on West Main Street. A Valero employee reported he had been robbed by a black male brandishing a weapon.

Two Zanesville men are in jail on charges they robbed a western Pennsylvania grocery story, after subduing one clerk with a choke hold and tying up that clerk and another one.

 25-year-old Michael Burkhart and 23-year-old Christopher Stone remain in the Westmoreland County Jail.

A second suspect is arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a gas station in Hebron.

Sgt. Chris Slayman with the Licking County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Leroy Page Junior of Reynoldsburg has been charged with robbery, a second degree felony.
