Community Ambulance, Newton Township and the South Zanesville Fire Department responded to the scene of an accident just after 10 a.m. on Friday. Two remain in the hospital after a late night accident.
According to the State Highway Patrol it happened shortly before 11 o'clock Friday night on US 22 in Newton Township. 33-year-old Kimberly Rota of Zanesville was traveling westbound when she went left of center striking oncoming 53-year-old Kenneth Barney of Zanesville.

The accident happened around 3 p.m. at U.S. Route 22 and State Route 345.

Three people are injured after a crash this morning near Somerset.
It happened east of the town on US 22 at about 7:20 this morning. 39-year old James Shahan and 39 -year old Dawn Shahan were driving eastbound on US 22, when the car went left of center and struck 32-year old Timothy Carder head-on.
James, the driver, was ejected from the vehicle.
All three were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
