Young track and field athletes are getting some expert training this week.

Team GodSpeed's 5th Annual Track and Field Camp began Thursday at Zanesville High School. The campers have the opportunity to work with several high profile coaches in various events before showing off what they've learned at a track meet on Saturday.

Zanesville high school principal, Mark Ulbrich will not be returning to school this fall.

He received a job offer from Pickerington North High School and has accepted the position. He says he's excited and eager to face new challenges as the principal of the suburban Columbus school.

Zanesville High School students were counting down the hours until summer break on Friday.

It was the last day of class and students and teachers alike spent the day preparing for vacation . Principal Ulbrich says although school is over for the year, there are opportunities over the summer for children to learn.

Eight extraordinary Zanesville High School Alums were celebrated on Saturday for their accomplishments after graduation.

Last night Ruth Federman, the late Bob Rankin, Todd Rollins, Jeff Apperson, the late Rolland Buxton, Mike Kaido, Kaye Matthews, and Don Seevers all received awards for their contributions to athletics or academics. The Zanesville football team has alot to be thankful for this November. The Devils have rolled off 13 straight victories, captured an ECOL championship, and advanced to the State Final Four for just the second time in school history. Despite all the hype, the Devils are business as usual this week, and most of all, thankful for the opportunity.

The Zanesville High School Football Team will battle it out in the state semi-finals against Loveland High School.

Principal Mark Ulbrich expects to sell about 12 to 15 hundred tickets for the game. Ticket sales continue Tuesday at the ticket window at the high school on blue avenue.

"Ticket sales will be, Tuesday from 6 to 7 pm, Wednesday from 5 to 6 pm, and Friday from 11 until noon," said Ulbrich.
