Woman charged with trafficking in drugs

COSHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio-A Grove City woman is facing charges after a traffic stop in Coshocton County resulted in the discovery of drugs.

The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday that 42-year-old Jennifer Marcum has been charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs, a first degree felony.

Authorities said Monday around 6:19 p.m. Deputies stopped a vehicle on State Route 16 near Township Road 287 in Franklin Township for not having a vehicle registration displayed.

The Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit conducted a narcotics sniff of the vehicle and K-9 Charlie indicated a positive alert. A search of the vehicle was conducted and large amount of drugs was seized. Marcum along with a male were taken into custody.

More charges are anticipated after the review from the Coshocton county Prosecutor’s Office.
