ZANESVILLE, Oh – The Pieceable Quilters’ Guild Quilt Show is underway!

The fundraising event, which showcases members of the guild and their talents began Friday morning and will run through Saturday.

Vendors from around the country are set up at Zanesville High School located at 1701 Blue Avenue.

Chairman of the quilt show, Barbara Bogart encourages people to come out, even if they’re not quilters.

“We have people that come here that are beginning quilters or have never quilted and they see something like that and realize they can make it. And then of course, the vendors are here. You see something you really like, turn around and go see a vendor and you can buy what you need to make it,” Bogart said.

In addition to the 250 quilts on display, there is a silent auction, a boutique, demos from guild members, vendors and even a national teacher.

Bogart says although you can easily buy quilts, there’s something special about the handmade projects found at the show.

“It’s not just a quilt. You can go to a store and buy a quilt. But these are handmade quilts, made with love and it’s a totally different feeling from the maker and the receiver, because they know what it has taken to make these quilts,” she told us.

If the quilts weren’t enough to convince you to attend, the show is also famous for their homemade pies and food.

If you’re interested in checking it out, you can stop by Saturday from 9 AM until 4 PM.
