ZANESVILLE, Oh – The Renner Theatre hosted an afternoon of snow princess themed fun Sunday afternoon.

Kids of all ages gathered to celebrate Christmas in July with the opportunity to meet beloved characters, including Frozen’s Elsa, Anna, and Olaf, as well as Buddy the Elf and even Santa Claus himself.

Avie, a member of the theatre, was more than happy to be there as the snow queen herself, Princess Elsa.

“I would have loved something like this. To show up and be able to do crafts and meet Santa, and meet some of my favorite Disney princesses. Because Elsa and Anna have always been, like, my favorite. I was obsessed with Frozen when I was little. So for me, the reason I do theatre is because I love seeing the smile on people’s faces. So being able to make these little kids happy and be able to let them meet their favorite princesses is really cool for me,” she told us.

Kids were able to make their own crowns and snowflake ornaments, play games, read stories with the characters and even sit on Santa’s lap!

And Allie, another member of theatre, who was dressed up as the Queen of Arendelle, Anna, says it’s all for a great cause as well!

“We started doing it last year. I believe our first fundraiser was The Little Mermaid and we had about 2 or 3 last year. But we’re going to keep it going because it’s a great way to raise money and everybody has a lot of fun when they come out to these,” she said.

Money from the event will go towards things like costumes and props for future shows, as well as renovations, decorations, and upgrades for the theatre.
