Columbus Woman Arrested After Pursuit in Noble Co.

Noble County- A Columbus resident is in jail after leading Noble County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed pursuit.
It took place around midnight Tuesday when a vehicle was stopped on Interstate 77 for no visible license plate. The driver was asked to step out of the vehicle so a K9 could conduct an open air sniff around the vehicle. 47-year-old Tascha Andrews refused to exit the vehicle, locked the doors and took off at a high rate of speed.
Deputies pursued Andrews at speeds over 100mph. Andrews exited I-77 southbound at the Caldwell exit, nearly hit a semi-truck and crossed straight over McConnelsville Road and entered the southbound entrance ramp to I-77 striking a guardrail and flipping the vehicle.
Andrews was taken to the hospital and medically cleared. She was then transported to the Noble County Jail.
Andrews faces charges of failure to display license plate, obstructing official business, tampering with evidence and failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer. Her bond is set at $20,000.
