Little Caesars Love Kitchen Makes Special Stop in Zanesville
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Little Caesars Love Kitchen made a special stop here in Zanesville.
The Love Kitchen is a mobile pizza unit that makes trips across the U.S., serving those who are hungry, homeless and victims of natural disasters.
They made a stop at Christ’s Table for lunch Thursday, making over 140 pizzas for community members.
Beth Shadden, the Driver of the Love Kitchen, said they started the day out by receiving products from the local Zanesville location and also recruited some of the store’s workers to help accomplish their goal.
“This is really a huge honor and privilege that we’re able to come here and just give back to the community,” Shadden said. “Being a part of Little Caesars, that is one of our core values is service and giving back. So it just means a lot to be here.”
Keely Warden, the Executive Director of Christ’s Table, said they had previously worked with the Love Kitchen before the pandemic and were so excited to get the call to be able to work with them again.
“A hot, fresh piece of pizza is going to be great,” Warden said. “It’s going to be great to watch people and just, they’re always so grateful when something like this happens. I mean we’re a little soup kitchen and we cook soup, so to have a hot, fresh piece of pizza from Little Caesars is just amazing.”
Shadden says the 140 pizzas they made were expected to feed over 500 people.
