Zanesville Farmer’s Market to Celebrate 50 Years in the Community

ZANESVILLE, OH – A community hub is celebrating 50 years here in Zanesville.
The Zanesville Farmer’s Market will be celebrating their 50th birthday on Saturday, August 29th at Adornetto’s with a very special birthday party.
Michelle Illing, the Market Manager, says their official birthday is August 28th, but they wanted to celebrate with the community members and vendors that make the Market possible.
“The community is much larger than I thought as far as, like, handmade goods and how people care about nutrition.” Illing said. “It’s exciting because we have over 30 vendors every week and just knowing that they’ve made all these all week to prepare for their customers is really nice to see.”
The Zanesville Farmer’s Market is unique because they are able to operate 9 out of the 12 months every year thanks to community partnerships.
From now until the end of the summer the Market will be at Adornetto’s but once the weather becomes cooler and fall-like, they take it indoors to Weasel Boy Brewing Company.
Illing also provided some details for those heading to their Birthday Bash.
“We are going to have some prizes, we’re hoping to get extra food trucks, we usually have one food truck and live music every week.” Illing said. “So we’re just hoping to make it a little bit bigger and better than a normal market day.”
