26 years of Halloween Decorating

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local family has been stirring up some scares for 26 years.
Zanesville resident Randy Lowry invites the community to his house every year on the last two weekends of October to see his Halloween display. Lowry shows off his Mannequins that represent ‘The Munsters’, 150 tomb stones, and a 1940’s funeral hearse.
“Me and my two daughters started 26 years ago, started out with a couple of tomb stones,” Lowry said. “People started stopping in their cars and every year we started adding. Now I’ve got five grandchildren, so we keep doing it every year. We started out maybe 100 people now we get 1,000 people sometimes to come over here and look at them.”

Lowry and his family have been setting up the Halloween display since August 2017. Majority of that time has been spent in the garage along with Michael Myers, Jason Voorhees, and Freddy Krueger.
“It’s a lot of work, but it’s nice to have people come see it , new people, and get to see all the kids see it,” Lowry’s Grandson, Karter Kaster said. “Everyone likes to come see the hearse, all the friends and everything.”
October 27, 2017 and October 28, 2017 the community can come out and see Lowry’s Halloween display from dusk until 11:00 P.M. Located at 898 Lexington Avenue across from the Muskingum County Fair Grounds.
The public showings will be canceled if it rains.
