Brandon “Bingin” A. Sletzer, 43, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born on September 16, 1982, in Zanesville, Ohio, Brandon was the oldest and beloved son of Gloria (Mel) Weaver and Jeff (Linda) Sletzer. He is survived and will be deeply missed by his sister, Jennie (Gene) Hindel, and his brothers, Tyler (Nicole) Sletzer and Kyle Sletzer.

Brandon was a proud and devoted uncle to Kade and Quinton Hindel, and Wyatt, Weston, Waylon, Walker, Mason, Blake, and Emily Sletzer;

In addition, he is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Della (Girton) Harlan, and George and Dorothy (Kernan) Sletzer; and by his aunts, Carolyn Harlan, Tina Nelson, and Teresa Church.

Brandon was a proud graduate of Maysville High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting at Ohio University in Athens.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Brandon was a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Cincinnati Reds. He especially looked forward to football season and enjoyed the excitement and friendly competition of managing his fantasy football teams. Beyond cheering for his favorite teams, Brandon was one of the biggest supporters of his family. He faithfully attended and followed the sporting events of his many nephews, proudly encouraging each of them in their individual pursuits. Whether in the stands, on the sidelines, or following their accomplishments from afar, Brandon’s unwavering support and love for his family kept him busy and brought him tremendous joy.

Brandon was a logical thinker and truly one of a kind—quiet by nature yet possessing an amazing soul and a heart of gold. He was a peacemaker who genuinely wanted the best for everyone around him. His kindness, loyalty, and steady presence made a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Those who knew Brandon will remember the memories he created, the laughter he shared, and the special place he held in the hearts of his family and friends. While his absence will be deeply felt, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he leaves behind will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family has entrusted DeLong, Baker & Lanning Funeral Home with the arrangements.

Visitation will be held on Thursday August 20, 2026, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Aaron Wahl officiating. Burial will conclude services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.

In honor of Brandon and his love of sports, guests are encouraged to wear apparel representing one of Brandon’s favorite teams or colors during visitation—The Ohio State Buckeyes’ scarlet and gray, the Cincinnati Bengals’ orange and black, or the Cincinnati Reds’ red and white. This special tribute is a meaningful way to celebrate Brandon’s life, his passions, and the many memories he shared with family and friends.
