The Wilds held a job fair at Zane State College Thursday afternoon for the 100 seasonal positions they are looking to hire for. About sixty people dropped off applications and were interviewed, but they still have a lot of spots to fill.

You may not be able to view Polar Bears at the Wilds in Cumberland, but a newly planted forest seeks to help this threatened species.

Years from now 4,000 seedlings planted over eight acres will be a forest, that will become a home to animals and will help Polar Bears thousands of miles away. Trees create oxygen which scientists believe may combat climate change.

The Wilds will celebrate a record breaking year in attendance by hosting their first-annual Wildzfest.

The event is free to the whole family and will include kid friendly crafts, games, puppet show, and a special visit from Dora the Explorer. Adults will enjoy the day too, with delicious seasonal food and adult beverages.

There's a new way to explore the Wilds Conservation Center - and it's giving visitors a birds-eye view.

It's hard to believe that these 10,000 acres of rolling hills used to be a coal mine.

"In the 70s, this was a moonscape.  There was nothing here," said Chief Operations Officer Rob McBurney.

It is an exciting step for conservation efforts at The Wilds in Cumberland as they release over one hundred American Burying Beetles into the wild.

The American Burying Beetle is the first insect to be listed as a federally protected endangered species and completely disappeared from Ohio in 1974.

Today's temperatures may have seemed unbearable, but for those at the wilds, temperatures were unfaising.

Some area runners are leaving the city to explore the wild.

The 2011 Ecothon Run for a Claws took place at the Wilds in Cumberland on Saturday. The conservation sits on nearly 10,000 acres and is home to rare and endangered species from all over the world.
