ZANESVILLE, OH – Over the last 10 years, the Zane Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club turned an empty room into a realm of little trains.

The ZTNT is inviting the public to check out their incredible tiny train display. Their open house will be April 29th and 30th from 11Am to 4PM. The event is free and open to the public to view their miniature model of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.

“I like to do the scenery. I mean just, to create it. And I’ve been a member for 43 years.” Rick Gooden, ZTNT Treasurer said.

The Zane Trace National Trail Model Railroad Club has been building this display since 2013. Since then, the club has been continuing to grow with just under 30 members currently in the club. They’re always looking for more members, so if you’re interested in joining feel free to check out their Facebook page.

“Just recreating what the railroad does, which a lot of people don’t know. And doing the scene is fun, we got some younger people in the ZTNT Club now and we’re just trying to keep it going. Like I said, it’s been around for a long time. It’s hard to get young people in this. But we’re having a little success doing it.” Gooden said.

The open house will take place on 24 South 6th Street, in Downtown Zanesville.
