Rambo Memorial Health Levy Passes
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Rambo Memorial Health renewal levy passed in Tuesday’s Election.
Shannon Bell, the executive director of Rambo, said they were excited to get the news that the levy passed. She said without this levy they wouldn’t be able to provide the quality of care they strive for at Rambo.
“Moving forward from the levy and knowing that the voters have voted yes,” Bell explained. ”What this means for us is that we are able to continue our mission of free respiratory care and I want the voters to know that we spend their money wisely, we always have, we’ve always been very frugal. Each and every patient is taken care of to the full extent here and that’s what’s so important to us, to continue that mission.”
Bell said the most common misconception about Rambo is that it’s only a TB testing facility. She said they offer so much more to patients than just testing or a flu shot.
“We have a pulmonary rehab program, we have a medication assistance program, we have an oxygen assistance program, we have stop smoking,” Bell said. “We do so many health fairs for young kids, we’re always out in the public trying to educate people about things. We’re anything respiratory, we have a physician here, we help people obtain chest X-rays, it’s not just flu shots and it’s not just TB.”
