Coshocton Tabs Alum Braydon Johns to Be Next Football Head Coach

COSHOCTON, OH – It was not very long ago that we saw Braydon Johns tearing up the Coshocton football field, on his way to Muskingum Valley League (MVL), Eastern District, and All-Ohio honors. Five years after his graduation, and he now finds himself as the school’s new football head coach.
The Coshocton athletic department announces that the 2021 graduate will lead the school’s program this season and beyond. His list of high school accolades precede him. He is a former MVL running back of the year, a first-team all-MVL selection, an MVL all-star, a first-team all-Eastern district selection, third team All-Ohio and a first-team All-East Central Ohio League (ECOL) selection during his playing days.
Johns then moved on to play collegiately at the University of Findlay at the Division II level before returning to his high school alma mater as an assistant coach. He will maintain his roles in the school system as a physical education and conditioning teacher, while helping train the school’s football and track and field athletes.
Johns replaces former coach Brock Bolden, who held the job from January to June, before electing to remain in the Olentangy Orange school system. The head coaching debut for Johns will come at home against Edison on Friday, August 21 at 7:00 pm, as he looks to lead Coshocton to its first winning season since his senior year as a player.
