Duncan Falls Car Show Benefits Volunteer Fire Department

DUNCAN FALLS, OH – If classic cars are your thing, Duncan Falls is putting the pedal to the metal this weekend, all for a good cause.

The Duncan Falls Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its 33rd Annual Antique and Classic Car Show this Sunday. Cars, trucks, tractors, and motorcycles of all makes and models are welcome. Registration runs from 10:30 until 1:30.

“Visitors will be able to see all kinds of antiques, classic cars, and hot rods. We even have some farmers that bring in some big farm equipment. Last year, we had a combine there and the year before we had a corn picker. We got semi-trucks and fire trucks. Basically, anything that has wheels.” Fire Chief, Donald Alexander, said.

But you don’t have to bring a set of wheels to join the fun. It’s free to come look around with food, a DJ, door prizes, and 75 awards being handed out by lottery drawing. Registration is $10 for anyone who does bring a vehicle, and proceeds will go back to the fire department to help pay for equipment and other needs.

“We buy different types of small equipment. I mean, we have a tax levy that funds fire trucks and stuff like that but, we’re looking at replacing a couple of the water rescue things. After the last couple of weeks, we thought we’d probably need some newer, updated ones. So, it’s small stuff like that that we use the money for.” Chief Alexander said.

The show officially gets rolling at 1:30 Sunday afternoon across the street from 397 Oak Street in Duncan Falls.
